Pastor & Staff

Rev. Gordon and his wife, Robin, both grew up in Simsbury, CT, and they have two adult children, Jamison and Courtney. Gordon began his ministry at Union Congregational Church in September 2021. His ministry focus is to help lead Union Church in the fulfilment of its mission in the community, and to provide spiritual support and care for its members. 

Gordon serves on the Board of Directors for the East Bridgewater Kiwanis Club, he is a member of the East Bridgewater Clergy Association, and he serves on the Committee on Ministry for the Pilgrim Association of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ.

Gordon served as Minister of the First Congregational Church in Hopkinton, NH, from 2000-2021. Prior to that, he served as an Associate Minister in Dover, NH, and a Youth Minister in Ridgefield, CT.

Gordon graduated from Dickinson College in 1991, earned a Masters of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1994, and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 2018.

 Elliott has been our Music Director since September 2024.  He is a gifted pianist, organist, vocalist, and choir director, with an abundance of joy and energy.  Elliott is a senior at New Bedford High School where he is a member of the school’s Jazz Band and Orchestra, and he is also a piano instructor to younger students.   

Laurie has been our Office Manager since 2012.  She and her husband Jamie have been members of the church since 2001. They have 3 young adult children.

In addition to being the Office Manager she is also our church treasurer.

Allen has been our Custodian since 2021.  He's been a member of our church since 2013, and Union Congregational Church holds a special place in his heart since his family has a long history at our church.  Allen sings in our choir, and he often provides special music on the piano for our worship services.
